The Lily Project

Welcome to The Lily Project - where every child can plant a seed of kindness and watch it grow.
Today’s young people care deeply about their communities and the world around them but too many lack the civic knowledge to turn that passion into lasting change. Civic Literacy means understanding how communities work, knowing your rights, and learning how to engage effectively and is essential for creating meaningful impact.

The Lily Project empowers young people of all ages to build that understanding through hands‑on, age‑inclusive volunteerism. From first acts of service to big, student‑led initiatives, we provide simple tools, creative project ideas, and connections to organizations that welcome youth voices. Along the way, young changemakers don’t just help—they learn how to participate, advocate, and lead.

With a strong focus on caring for our planet and our communities, The Lily Project nurtures engaged, informed citizens who know that even small actions can create real change. Together, we’re growing a generation that doesn’t just want to make a difference, they know how.
The Lily Project exists to cultivate civic literacy, kindness, and leadership in young people through age‑inclusive volunteerism and civic learning. By planting the seeds of service and understanding early, we empower youth to develop strong roots in their communities and grow into confident, informed, and engaged changemakers.
