TheLily Project
The Lily Project was founded in 2014 by five‑year‑old Lily Farris, whose determination to make a difference began with a simple desire to volunteer. After being turned away by multiple organizations that doubted a child could contribute meaningfully, Lily decided to create the very opportunity she was denied. What started as her personal mission to prove that young people are capable of real impact has grown into a youth‑driven organization dedicated to empowering children and teens to engage in meaningful volunteerism and become civically engaged. The Lily Project champions the belief that passion, compassion, and purpose, rather than age, define a person’s ability to serve their community. Through its programs and advocacy, the organization continues to open doors for young people who want to lead, give back, and change the world.
